This place is better than the other ones in London and France. More variety and seating.

Had to write a review quickly because of how pleasantly surprised I was with Pret A Manger! This is located in the K gates across from K37. Terminal 2E has all the duty free shops and few restaurant options with hot food. There is a Starbucks located in the floor above but Pret A Manger has organic coffee/lattes of all sorts, so don't bother. CDG is my layover from Cairo to the states. My second to last day in Cairo I was super sick with nausea & very upset stomach. I was consistently taking Pepto & Jet lag aids. Above all I was extremely exhausted! The kind ladies at Chanel recommended Pret a Manger. I don't care for prepackaged sandwiches or salads so I was hesitant but desperate .
PROS : Many options from hot/cold soups, salads, oatmeal, fresh fruit, canned refrigerated fruit, hot/cold sandwiches on all types of bread, Kid friendly options, fresh juices, smoothies, pressed juice shots, croissant, organic coffee/lattes, wine,& even good ole Mac & cheese!
CONS :
- Tables are small but can be joined however the floor space makes it so it's a tight fit and awkward if you have a luggage cart. Even with some American travelers, it was as if I was inconveniencing them because I couldn't get through due to their carts being in the middle of the aisles between the tables.
- They only sell the Vitel brand of water so unless you feel like getting water from the Relay store adjacent for an Evian, you'll have to pay about 1 £ more than Evian or get the smaller size.
- Less friendlier than the duty free shops so I didn't even feel like asking what hot drinks they'd recommend.
-prices ? If that was even a con. It is Europe & the airport so I paid almost $30 but the quality was great! I may even pay this regularly in the states.
*Highlights
- I took the recommendation of other Yelpers and went for the smoked salmon but not on the baguette. I purchased the smaller one with cheese, cucumber, lemon juice, & seasonings. The smoked salmon was so fresh and had a great color. Although a cold sandwich, the bread was so tasty and it was just right size.
- my stomach was feeling still incredibly upset and I felt light headed. Jet lag aid, Pepto, and water still hadn't alleviated the feeling even a day & 1/2 after it initially started. There was a Ginger shot that I thought was worth a shot (hadn't even bothered with Pepto at all this morning). It was amazing! Instantly felt better and it was so revitalizing! It tasted so good!
- Prosciutto MAC was just right! The noodles threw me off, I thought it was maybe cauliflower? However, the cheese sauce was light and not overpowering. The star was the prosciutto. So crispy and savory!!!
Really happy I tried this spot. I had maybe 2 bites of the Mac as the sandwich was pretty filling. Now I can relax, watch a movie, or snooze and not worry about my meal on the plane. Wish they had this in the US! -

There were no lounges in this airport terminal, so I ended up getting food here, and they had a variety of relatively healthy looking options. I got the nicoise salad, and it was okay, not the best thing in the world but something to tide me over while waiting in the airport.
